Billionaires’ share of wealth has increased by $5.5 trillion during the course of the pandemic while working class folks lose their homes and find it increasingly difficult to feed their children or pay the medical bills.

Time for a Wealth Tax as proposed by Senators Warren, Sanders and Merkley, the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act of 2021 (in the Senate: S510/in the House HR1459)

In Oregon only Rep. DeFazio and Sen. Merkley have joined as co-sponsors. The rest of Oregon’s congressional delegation should get signed on as co-sponsors. Neither of Washington’s Senator’s have signed on yet. Only Reps. Jayapal and Adam Smith in Washington have signed on.
