Why must night and sorrow end our Love’s long day?
Love… Bend and touch my face with your sweet lips
Before I fly away.
If we never loved, no sorrow comes,
No grief to bear or loss…
Yet, Love came to be. Love–it set us free.
And now, we must pay… Love’s cost in full we must pay.
