A Brighter Day
Words and Music by: Kenyatta Jerkins, Fred Jerkins III, Hector Diaz, George Huff, and Delisha Thomas
Believe that there will be a brighter day.
Situations tend to weigh us down
and it’s easy to let ’em steal your joy away.
It’s always when you are the closest to
almost gettin’ through,
change seems far away.
Ev’ry day we live
there’s problems all around,
things you can’t brace yourself for.
I know it ain’t easy
to smile and hide the pain.
Oh, I’ve been there before.
So I’m tellin’ you
When you’ve had enough,
you wanna give up,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
Seems you can’t go on, just stay strong,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
There are times when you can’t take no more,
seems like ev’ry door’s locked and can’t be opened.
The doubts of dreams ever comin’ true can discourage you,
but you need to see that
Ev’ry day we live
there’s problems all around,
things you can’t brace yourself for.
I know it ain’t easy
to smile and hide the pain.
Oh, I’ve been there before.
So I’m tellin’ you
When you’ve had enough,
you wanna give up,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
Seems you can’t go on, just stay strong,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
Goals are nearer,
things are clearer,
now you finally see.
All my problems,
they’ve been solved
and days look brighter to me.
When you’ve had enough,
you wanna give up,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
Seems you can’t go on, just stay strong,
we believe that there will be a brighter day.
