Spiritual Development
In addition to our Sunday services and occasional programs and classes, we offer regular opportunities for spiritual development. All are open to drop-ins. No RSVP required!

Loving Kindness Meditation
Spiritual reading, meditation, and follow up sharing. Open to all. Meets every Monday from 8 – 8:30 p.m. on Zoom. For more information, contact Katie R.

Connect & Reflect
Join Rev. Alison Miller and Jen Thomas (Member Engagement Coordinator) every Tuesday from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. on Zoom. Come share in conversation centered on the topic of the most recent sermon. Look for the discussion question on our Sunday morning preservice slides and Order of Service.

Vespers
End your week with a quiet pause at the Vespers service each Friday evening on livestream from 5:00 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. Wind down from a busy week and begin your weekend with this service of music, poetry, reflection, prayer, and meditation. To join on Zoom, go to tinyurl.com/Vespers-1stU.

Contemplative Practices
Join with us to sit together in silence. Bring more peace and joy into your life, increase mindfulness, and develop more perspective. First Thursdays (in Channing, A101) and third Thursdays (in Buchan Reception, B101) from 1 – 2:30 p.m. This is a drop-in group. Any silent sitting practice is welcomed and no prior meditation experience is needed.
Contact Patty C. and Ron W. or visit the event page for more information.

Monthly Labyrinth
This year, as we explore the church theme “Join the Journey,” we will have monthly opportunities to deepen our spiritual practices and focus on our inner journeys through the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth will be set up in Fuller Hall on the first Sunday of most months from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
We’re always looking for more volunteers to help us set up our sacred space and plan other labyrinth related activities throughout the year. If you’d like to volunteer, reach out to Teri M.

Monthly Community Circle
On most third Sundays after the service, we hold a drop-in Community Circle around the month’s theme. All are welcome to join for discussion and engagement! It’s a great opportunity to meet folks and enjoy time together. You are welcome to bring your lunch. Class time is about 90 minutes. Location details are shared in our weekly Front Steps e-news prior to that Sunday and on our Sunday morning preservice slides and Order of Service.
