Sherry R. (she/her) has been an active Unitarian Universalist since 2008, officially joining in 2010. After retiring and moving to Port Ludlow, Washington, in 2003, she was inspired to attend the Quimper Fellowship in Port Townsend following a pet loss, drawn by their unique service celebrating animals. Sherry relocated to Sun City West, Arizona, in 2017 and became involved with the UU Congregation of Surprise. A lifelong sailor, Sherry co-founded the Oregon Women’s Sailing Association, which recently celebrated 30 years of empowering women in sailing. She is fluent in ASL and has taught sign language, combining her diverse experiences in HR, finance, and organizational leadership with her passion for community engagement. Sherry enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, walking, and politics and is eager to contribute wherever she can be most helpful.
