Sara Hamill, M.A.

Spiritual Direction is the gentle unfolding of your life experience and  life story that supports who you are and who you are becoming.  I will act as a guide, deeply listening, accompanying, and supporting you as a spiritual coach to companion your journey and validate your process as you grow.  We will walk together, growing, changing, and deepening connections to Self, to Others and to the Sacred.  We will pay attention to where intuition and deep soul wisdom presents itself along the path.

My spirituality is grounded in being open to self-examination, self-reflection, and personal growth.  I was raised as a Unitarian-Universalist.  I have participated in a Sufi training group. My training as a certified Spiritual Director was with Father Jim Galluzzo at the Urban Spirituality Center and I am a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator.  Professionally I was an Insurance Underwriter followed by working as a Counselor and Intake Director at William Temple House.  I have been humbly asking Deep Questions for a long time.  Being a Spiritual Director is work that engages my whole being, especially my heart.

What supports me in my spiritual search and grounding is found in multiple sources, paths and practices.  I spend time with animals and raised and trained service dogs for the disabled for 15 years.  I have practiced mindfulness, yoga, Tai Chi and gratitude. I write and express my soul’s yearning through the spiritual practice of SoulCollage.  Being with others in my faith community at First Church and volunteering for service helps me stay connected with my authentic self.  Living with a disability keeps me mindful of my own self-care and impermanence.

I believe all beings have a Divine Spark and we are all held in Mystery that is larger than ourselves.  I believe all beings are interconnected with others and the universe, and that we need one another.  I believe all beings are in a state of becoming and that we grow through silence and relationships.

I would love to talk with you.  We can meet in person in my home or in a place that best suits your needs, or on FaceTime.  Meetings are offered on a sliding scale basis that works within your budget.  A complimentary 30-minute informational interview and one-hour sessions monthly, or more often if desired, are offered.
