Our music community is one of love and compassion. Our three musical ensembles are made up of wonderful individuals who bring energy and life into this space. Each week, we add our voices and our spirits to each and every service we are a part of. There are two vocal choirs and a handbell ensemble that participate in our services and other musical events at the church.

Music can be–and is–a place for everyone, regardless of your experiences. Whether you are a professional musician, educator, performer, or are brand new to the world of music: you are welcome here! You are invited to come be a part of our supportive and caring community:

• Chalice Choir: An ensemble where all are welcome to participate, regardless of previous experience. This non-auditioned ensemble focuses on community and learning through development of fundamental musical and vocal skills. This ensemble performs in regular Sunday services and outside concerts. Chalice rehearses every Thursday from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
• Radiance Choir: An audition-based ensemble for those who strive for the highest level of musical excellence. This ensemble, having existed under multiple names and identities, performs in regular Sunday services, outside concerts, and performs major works with orchestra yearly. Radiance rehearses every Thursday from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
• Parker Handbells: For several decades, the Parker Handbells has been a staple here at First Unitarian. Multiple generations of families have participated in this ensemble, furthering our mission of community. This ensemble is open to all people, regardless of previous handbell experience, but requires a high level of rhythmic independence. It is an exciting and joyful experience for all participating. This ensemble participates in regular Sunday services. Parker Bells rehearses every Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in Daisy Bingham.
