Blaise is a passionate activist and community leader who began his journey as a Minister Assistant and activist in his church in Burundi. Forced to flee his country for political reasons, he arrived in the U.S. as an asylum seeker and became a proud citizen last year. Blaise is deeply grateful for the support he received from UUs, particularly the UU Fellowship of Corvallis, throughout his journey. A father of three, Blaise focuses on connection, learning, and putting his faith into action through church programs, activism, and refugee support initiatives. With an optimistic outlook, he strives to positively impact communities worldwide through lay ministry, group adventures, and innovative approaches to helping those in need.
