Join Our Learning Community: Volunteer Leadership Call

As I wind down my first year on staff here, I can only express appreciation and amazement for the many committed and creative members of our community who share the ministry by volunteering their time and talent in many arenas. Please consider this your personal invitation to consider a leadership role in the Learning Community by working with your children and youth! We’re recruiting now for fall.

No experience necessary. There are, however, a few essential requirements. You need to be:

  • a member or someone who’s made a commitment to the church (so, not brand new)
  • interested in knowing people of all ages
  • excited to grow in spirit and connection to others
  • able to pass a background check
  • ready to be reliable
  • and you should probably have a sense of humor.

We’ll support you the rest of the way, I promise!

Many roles are available and can be tailored to suit your life. We have opportunities such as:

  • assisting with Create&Explore learning stations program (about 1x per month)
  • playing with toddlers as they begin to find their place at church (about 3-4x per month)
  • co-advising and coordinating our 7th-8th grade Coming of Age program (about 3 x per month)
  • team teaching RE (religious education) classes for an age group of your choosing (about 2-3x per month)
  • planning and executing various Fun Events and Other Things for the Learning Community

And…if you’re less interested in developing your relationship with the church community and experiencing meaning-making and more focused on personal glory, you’re still in luck. We also offer the significant perk of being recognized by kids at church who know your name! It’s a pretty special feeling.

Thank you for reading and considering. I hope you will be in touch if you’d like more information.

With gratitude,

Leah
