Rumble On The River: Community Forum on the Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub and Zenith Energy
Tuesday, May 23 / Info Tables at 6 p.m. / Panel at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Buchan Reception Hall
Co-sponsored by Community For Earth (CFE)
This community forum brings together expert voices to explain the risks of having 90% of Oregon’s fuel stored within city limits on Highway 30 on your way to Sauvie Island. The Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, a 6-mile stretch of aging tank farms, including Zenith Energy’s oil facility, stands on a seismic liquefaction zone. This has the potential for a Deepwater Horizon-level type of spill right on Portland’s riverfront.
Twenty-seven neighborhood, river, social justice, climate, and environmental advocacy organizations co-sponsor these forums.
Learn, ask questions, and find out what you can do!
