Join Tom Andrews, President and CEO of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, on Thursday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary for our annual Sewell Lecture. Tom, this year’s featured speaker, is a long-time human rights advocate and former U.S. Congressman, committed to challenging the devastating impacts of global warming, the injustice of growing income equality, and the assaults on the rights and dignity of marginalized people throughout the world.
The Sewell Lecture Series: Speaking of Justice honors the ministry of Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sewell by bringing emerging voices for social justice to First Unitarian Church and the larger community. Rev. Sewell is Minister Emerita of First Unitarian, and an activist, author, and long-time supporter of grassroots human rights initiatives.
Suggested donation $20 (sliding scale, no one turned away).
