Recent Parish Joys and Sorrows

Member Elle Parks wants us to know about the death of her grandmother, Ella Lorraine Bowers Albrecht. She was 86 years old and lived with frontal lobe dementia. She lived in Charlottesville, Virginia. We hold Elle and her family at this time.

Alexa Baker-Sepulvida wants us to know about the death of her husband, Thaddeus Sepulvida, who died on Feb. 5 at the age of 46. He suffered with end-stage renal failure. Alexa asks us to hold her and her children, Isaiah, Zoe, and Hope.
Robert Otto Knecht, father of member Pam Knecht, died Feb. 1 at the age of 91. He lived in Long Beach, Calif., and he leaves his wife of 68 years, Sallie. We hold Pam and her family in our prayers. 

A memorial service will be held for Lee Davis on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. in our Eliot Chapel. Lee died on Dec. 3 at the age of 89. For many years Lee was the coordinator of our lay ministry program. 
Member Laura Gadley has been hospitalized this week with pneumonia and is asking for prayers from the congregation.

Member Vicki Dotson died on Feb. 15 at the age of 63. Vicki was diagnosed with cancer throughout her body about three months ago. We hold Vicki’s husband, Dick Becker, in our prayers.
