Kenard Burchette, Stephen Cross, Sharon Dawson, Dave Esch, Holly Faber, Joel Finkelstein, Bob Kempter, Pete Kramer, Steve Nelson, Karin Webb, Bob Webb, and Evie Zaic. We meet the second Tuesday, every other month (starting in September), from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in B304.

We invite you to consider becoming a member of First Church! Our committee's mission for prospective members is to provide programs and classes which help welcome, educate, and enroll you into the life of the Church, and guide you toward small group opportunities that will help you deepen your connection. Take your time to explore and experience our worship and activities, and when you are ready to join, we’ll be very happy to welcome you into full membership.

Membership is an important step in connecting to our community and an ongoing journey into deeper spiritual commitment. If you’re a first time visitor, or a newcomer, be sure to visit our Newcomer Table during Sunday morning Social Hour in Fuller Hall following the worship service. Friendly hosts will answer your questions, and provide other information about First Church. You may also sign our Guest Book, make a nametag, and register for the following membership-related classes:

Introduction to Unitarian Universalism for Newcomers

Are you new to First Church, and/or exploring Unitarian Universalism for the first time? Or, are you just curious about our liberal faith? Do you wonder what makes this church experience different from others in your past? At these informative gatherings, you will meet one of our ministers, learn about the roots of our faith and UU history, and have a chance to ask questions. A tour of our campus concludes the evening. Offered every other month throughout the year. Register at the Newcomer Table in Fuller Hall on Sundays.

Path to Membership Class

This class is highly recommended for anyone who is considering membership, or ready to join. Led by a minister, the first evening will explore the spirituality of commitment and deepening connections. The second session will review the rewards and responsibilities of membership, and provide a good understanding of how this church functions as an institution. For those who are ready to sign the Membership Book, a brief Enrollment Ceremony will conclude the class. Register at the Newcomer Table in Fuller Hall on Sundays.
